The Phoenix Suns 16th Week

         On the 4th of February, the Phoenix Suns went to Portland to take on the Portland Trailblazers. The Suns started well and had a small lead at half time 55 to 49.

     The 3rd quarter belonged to the Trailblazers winning that quarter 37 to 25. The Suns rallied back in the 4th quarter to force the game into overtime. The overtime was even matched as Portland, leading by 3 with 4.4 seconds left.

   Devin Booker was fouled, taking a 3 point shot. However, Booker made 2 out of 3 free throws. The Trailblazers went onto win 121 to 119.

        The player of the game was Devin Booker with 34P/3R/4A. This will always be Devin’s game as Devin passed Walter Davis to become the all-time leading scorer of the Phoenix Suns.

          The positives were offence, steals and blocks.

         The negatives were rebounds, defence on the perimeter, and allowing Portland 6 extra possessions.

      On the 6th of February, the Phoenix Suns went to Oklahoma to take on the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Suns were doing well in the first half, taking a small lead at half time 63 to 61.

    In the 3rd quarter, the Thunder took control of the game in dominating fashion. The Thunder won the 3rd quarter 43 to 16. The Thunder easily won the game 140 to 109.

         The player of the game was Bradley Beal 25P/3R/6A.

            The positive were offence in what was a very disappointing game by the Phoenix Suns.

     The negatives were rebounding, defence, and allowing  30 more possessions.

           On the 8th of February, the Utah Jazz came to Phoenix to take on the Phoenix Suns. The game was full of streaks. However, the scores were tied 55 all at half time.

         The Suns looked like they were cruising to victory, leading by 13 with under 6 minutes to go in the game. However, the Jazz had another idea and had a 3 point lead with under a second to go.

           Up stepped Grayson Allen hitting the shot to send it into overtime. In the overtime, the Suns dominated the winning of the game 135 to 127.

          The player of the game was Devin Booker 47P/6R/11A.

       The positives were movement of the ball,offence, and turnovers.

      The negatives were rebounding, defence, and allowing Utah 9 extra possessions.

        On the 9th of February, the Denver Nuggets came to Phoenix to take on the Phoenix Suns. This was a game where the Nuggets were always in control from start to finish.

          They even sat Jokic for the whole of the 4th quarter. That is how dominant they were. The Denver Nuggets went onto win 122 to 105.

     The player of the game was Devin Booker with 24P/7R/3A.

      The positives were free throw shooting,turnovers, and having 6 more possessions than the Nuggets.

      The negatives were defence, rebounding, and points in the paint.

    Also, the Phoenix Suns did a trade at the deadline. The Phoenix Suns send Jusuf Nurkic and a 2026 first round pick to the Charlotte Hornets. The Phoenix Suns received Cody Martin, Vasilije Micic, and a 2026 second round pick.

       This was a bad week for the Phoenix Suns winning 1 game out of 4. The Phoenix Suns record is 26 wins and 26 losses and sit 10th in the western conference.
