The Phoenix Suns 12th Week

       On the 7th of January, the Phoenix Suns went to Philadelphia to take on the Philadelphia 76’ers. In the first half, the 76’ers held a slight lead of 46 to 42.

      The Suns faithful were holding their breaths as their 3rd quarters of the Suns had not been strong. However, this was the opposite, with the Suns having a strong 3rd quarter winning 36 to 27. The Suns went on to win the game 109 to 99.

         The player of the game was Bradley Beal 25P/3R/5A. This was the first time since his rookie year Bradley Beal has come off the bench.

      The positives were the offence, defence, and rebounds.   

      The negatives were free throw shooting and giving the 76’ers 6 more shot attempts.

        On the 8th of January, the Phoenix Suns went to Charlotte to take on the Charlotte Hornets. The Suns started strong, taking the first quarter 29 to 22.

       Then it all went wrong after that for the Phoenix Suns.  The Charlotte Hornets won the second quarter 37 to 17. The Phoenix Suns couldn’t come back losing 115 to 104.

      The player of the game was Devin Booker with 39P/6R/10A.

     The positives were really turnovers in what was a really disappointing display from the Suns.

      The negatives were offence, rebounding, and allowing the Hornets 9 more possessions.

        On the 10th of January, the Atlanta Hawks came to Phoenix to take on the Phoenix Suns. The first half was a high scoring affair with the Hawks leading 72 to 68 at the half-time break.

     The Suns had a strong 3rd quarter, winning the 3rd quarter 30 to 20. The Suns held on winning the game 123 to 115.

    The player of the game was Bradley Beal  with 25P/7R/2A with 3 steals.

     The positives were offence, passing the ball, and rebounds.

     The negatives were defence, turnovers, and allowing Hawks 1 extra possession.

    On the 11th of January, the Utah Jazz came to Phoenix to take on the Phoenix Suns.  The Suns led from start to finish winning the game 114 to 106.

     This was a game that the Suns never looked like losing. However, the Suns never looked to dominate. Even when the Suns were up by 16, they would allow offensive rebounds or turnovers to bring the Jazz back into the game.

     The player of the game Devin Booker with 34P/5R/4A.

      The positives were offence,turnovers, and defence.

      The negatives were free throw shooting, rebounding, and allowing the Jazz 7 extra possessions.

      The player of the week is Devin Booker for his consistent plays over the 4 games.

      The Suns won 3 out of 4 games and sat 11th on the western conference.
