Finally, the Phoenix Suns Get a Point Guard

When Coach Budenhozer was appointed at his first press conference, he said the Suns need a point guard. On the 5th of July 2024, the Phoenix Suns did just that signing Monte Morris from the Timber Wolves on a 1 year minimum.

Monte Morris is an NBA veteran of 7 seasons for 4 teams. Monte Morris  has played 375 games in the NBA. During that time, Monte has averaged 3.8 assists to 0.8 turnovers, which is elite. This should help immensely with the Suns problems of turnovers last season. Also, help Booker and Beal more as they can play their natural positions and not concern themselves also with setting up the offence as much.

Monte is a 39% 3-point specialist who will keep defences honest. Can also play off the ball as well. On defence, Monte is a very solid defender with a defence rating of 111. There were even questions if Monte would start the game or even be the 6th man for the Suns.

Let me know if you think Monte is a good pickup. Or who you think would have been a better pickup for the Suns. Also, if you have any questions, feel free to send them, and I will do my best to answer them. Next week, the steal of the NBA off-season
