We have always known that Devin can score, one of the best. He has been labeled as having no defense, can’t create plays, can’t play without help. Take a closer look…. Are you paying attention?

Yes, people will point out the fact that our main guy has only played 9 games (as of time of writing) this season. You could also argue that when Bradley Beal comes back that these numbers will decrease. However, I ask you. Have you ever seen D Book play this efficiently and with so much passion before? Just when you think this guy has shown you everything, BOOM. He takes his game to another level.
In my eyes, the prospect of Bradley Beal coming into this rotation will only increase the position for OUR superstar on the MVP ladder. He has shown that when the time comes, he steps up and takes the lead. He is now our floor general. He influences the game is so many ways. Look at the way he ended the Knicks game a few days ago. Ran down the clock, he knew exactly how much time he needed, and pulled off the dagger 3 from the right side on a fade-away.

Pure talent isn’t always enough. To quote Kevin Durant “Hard work beats talent, when talent fails to work hard”. Booker lives for that grind. Always in the gym practicing, fine-tuning those skills. Studying games, and opponents. Modeled after his idol Kobe Bryant’s mantra of “Be Legendary”. You must admit, he is doing a good job of living up to it.
Not since the glory day of the 7 seconds or less era has it been so exciting to see our team play. Yeah, it was fun the last few years, but now we are dialed in. We are locked on! We have our eyes on that Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy.
Of course, time will tell. The National Media always sleeps on The Phoenix Suns. It doesn’t matter what we do its always the same. It’s kind of funny lol.
Words and numbers mean different things to different people. I’m honestly not a huge stat guy. I’d rather the old “eye-test”, the intangible, the IT factor. I judge with my heart.
