Valley Suns Debut First-Ever Jerseys for Inaugural G League Season

The Phoenix Suns‘ new G League affiliate, the Valley Suns, has officially revealed its inaugural jerseys, sparking excitement among fans ahead of the team’s debut at Mullett Arena in Tempe. Alongside the team’s growing roster and brand-new arena, the jersey unveiling signals a significant milestone for the Valley Suns as they prepare to tip off their first G League season.

Official Jersey Reveal: A Closer Look

The Valley Suns’ jerseys come in both black and white versions, each designed with distinctive accents that pay homage to the Suns’ iconic colors. The black jerseys feature white hems with the word “Valley” displayed prominently across the chest. The numbering is bold, with orange shadowing and an orange “Suns” emblem beneath. Adding a unique touch, these black uniforms include grey accents around the arms and necklines.

The white jerseys feature black hems, with purple “Valley” lettering across the front. The numbers are outlined with orange shadowing, creating a striking contrast. Both the black and white jerseys will carry the Gila River Resorts & Casinos logo under the numbers and the Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) patch on the shoulder.

These uniforms continue the tradition of new G League teams sporting simple black and white jerseys in their debut seasons. However, fans can expect more creative designs in future years.

Strong Community Partnerships

The Valley Suns’ jerseys not only mark the start of their season but also highlight the team’s commitment to community-driven partnerships. Gila River Resorts & Casinos has filled the ad space below the numbers, while Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona has secured a prominent shoulder patch placement.

Josh Bartelstein, CEO of the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury, and Valley Suns, spoke about the meaningful collaboration with Goodwill: “Partnering with an organization that is committed to making such a positive impact in our community is the perfect fit to be featured on the Valley Suns jersey. Goodwill has been an incredible partner to the Suns and Mercury, and we’re excited to extend our partnership to include the Valley Suns.”

Tim O’Neal, President and CEO of GCNA, echoed the sentiment: “We are thrilled to partner with another community-driven organization like the Valley Suns. Through our partnerships with the Suns and Mercury, we’ve seen that basketball fans in Arizona are not only passionate about their teams but also about their community. We look forward to working with the Valley Suns and their fans to continue our mission of empowering individuals, strengthening families, and building stronger communities.”

The Valley Suns’ Debut Season

The Valley Suns will kick off their G League journey with a back-to-back matchup on November 8-9 against the Santa Cruz Warriors, followed by their highly anticipated home opener on November 11 at Mullett Arena, where they will face the Stockton Kings.

Fans eager to catch the action live can purchase tickets, starting at $15. The season opener is expected to draw significant attention as the Valley Suns establish their presence in the G League and build connections within the Arizona basketball community.

The Start of Something New

While the Valley Suns are sticking to the customary black and white color scheme for their first season, the organization has hinted that more vibrant and creative jersey designs may come in the future. For now, these sleek, sponsor-adorned uniforms mark the beginning of an exciting new era for the Phoenix Suns’ affiliate team.

With strong community ties and a solid foundation in place, the Valley Suns are ready to embark on their inaugural G League season and make their mark both on and off the court.
